The word of the cartographer :

The neighborhood of Flers-Chateau is the perfect example of what is Villeneuve d’Ascq, today, associating old constructions and new site-plans, connected by narrow streets, pedestrian bridges, and giving openings on parks and lakes.

The word of the cartographer :

Two quite different areas for this map :
- a first part is made of parks around the Vauban fortified citadel, a lot of running issues to foresee…
- a second part in the old town of Lille, with a dense streets network, narrow passages, around the historic monuments of the city.
